Job Summary:

The Cloud Solutions Architect serves on Emerson’s Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and meets with Emerson product and development teams to define the most appropriate cloud services to satisfy their various requirements. This individual also works to create Visio drawings, both abstract drawings as well as low-level visuals, of cloud environments that will be turned into implementation work for both the CCoE Cloud Operations team as well as for the Emerson product teams. This position works closely with the CCoE Technical Architects to properly steer teams in the most appropriate direction given Emerson’s cloud strategy and cloud domain roadmaps. Communication skills are critical to this position as this function takes guidance from all CCoE team members in producing proposed solutions. It is also required to maintain a strong understanding of the latest feature releases in the public cloud and can independently implement all recommended designs when required. This individual should also have exposure on the acquisition and divestiture related strategies focusing on the cloud platforms.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Design and evolve technical cloud solutions according to Emerson enterprise standards. Keep up to date on new industry and emerging technologies specially with Cloud and AI. Research, evaluation, proof of concepts and adoption of new technologies. Playing a key role in educating and sharing cloud best practices and standards. Led, guide and help engineering team to explore Azure\AWS array of capabilities, provide recommendations on the most suitable services to meet their specific needs. Become trusted advisor for implementing cloud technologies. Maintain a high degree of technical competency - Cloud Strategies, Infrastructure and Networking, AI/ML, Development and Application Migration and Implementation, DevOps. Experience in architecting, building, maintaining, and operating enterprise-grade systems/applications. Hands-on experience of designing strategies, architecture, and deployment for Medium to large scale Identity & Access Management  Hands-on experience of Cloud Automation tools and techniques (DevOps/Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM/Jenkins/Ansible/HashiCorp Vault/Packer) using CI/CD pipeline Understanding of Databases concepts in cloud platforms Understanding of Cloud Security Concepts Enterprise-scale technical experience with Azure AI Services including Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure Machine Learning, Generative AI etc. Hands on experience creating AI Proof of Concepts, and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) leading to production deployments. Provide engineering team with Generative AI expertise and advisory through architecture designs, proof of concept. Programming experience with Python, C#, SQL, and JSON

For This Role, You Will Need: Twelve plus IT engineering experience Seven (7) or more years with direct working experience on Microsoft Azure and AWS required. Seven (7) or more years of solution architecture experience in cloud engineering field. Seven (7) or more years of solution design and implementation experience demonstrating cloud-native technologies, like Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS is highly desirable. Five plus programming skills (.NET, Python, JSON, NodeJS, JavaScript, etc.). Proven experience with Azure AI Services including Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure Machine Learning, Generative AI etc. Proven 3+ experience in network and security engineering field Ability to build integrations using a REST API and APIM solution on AWS and Azure. Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub or similar source control and CI/CD platforms.  Experience in supporting applications in public cloud environments. Experience supporting IoT solutions preferred. Experience communicating professionally with technical and business audience. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Experience working in a relevant industry and with Manufacturing Applications is helpful, but not required. Good problem solving and analytical skills
