Cloud Systems Engineering Manager
Description We are inviting applications for the position of Cloud Systems Engineering Manager at our IT consulting firm situated in Horsham, Pennsylvania. This role involves overseeing our Cloud Systems Engineering team, ensuring efficient delivery of various services including Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps pipeline, and database management, among others. Responsibilities: • Oversee and enhance the performance of the Cloud Systems Engineering team, ensuring delivery surpasses organizational expectations. • Lead the provision of Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps pipeline, database, and IaaS/PaaS cloud services in an environment dominated by Microsoft and Linux workloads. • Oversee all aspects of Change, Configuration, Incident, Problem, Cost, Availability, and Capacity Management processes related to the above-mentioned services. • Champion innovative and value-adding projects that drive the organization's progress. • Operate a data-driven department, using key performance indicators to maintain standards and identify organizational trends. • Establish and nurture relationships with key technology stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met. • Ensure all solutions and operational activities comply with the security and operating policies established by the organization. • Identify opportunities for service delivery improvement through process enhancement and continuous development of documentation and runbooks. • Serve as an effective escalation point for support and assistance in ticket resolution. • Use a range of IT skills including Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon EC2, Ansible, Atlassian Jira, Auto Scaling, API Development, Automation, AWS Technologies, Backup Technologies, and Cluster Analysis to perform duties. Requirements • Extensive experience in IT consulting is essential. • Proficiency in Amazon CloudWatch and Amazon EC2 is required. • Familiarity with Ansible and Atlassian Jira is expected. • Knowledge of Auto Scaling and API Development is necessary. • Demonstrated experience with automation and AWS Technologies is crucial. • Understanding of Backup Technologies is needed. • Expertise in Cluster Analysis is a prerequisite. • Proven leadership and management skills are vital. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities are required. • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders is essential. • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. • Relevant industry certifications would be advantageous.
