Job Description

CloudOps Engineer responsibilities:

AWS:

All Accounts/Regions have CloudTrail EnabledAll Accounts/Regions have Config Enabled with the top 14 rules turned onAppropriate alerts are turned on for out of compliance itemsAll Accounts that have IAM users have password policies implemented (must change every 90 days)All production accounts have cross-region replication setup for all RDS instances (or at least cross-region snapshots) this is for DR purposes

Azure:

Audit of ALL Tenant/Subscriptions IAM accounts and the removal of all non-SSO accounts.Removal of all ex-employee accountsAudit of ALL Tenant/Subscription IAM account owners and the removal of those that should not be ownersImplement Azure Compliance Manager to help with any risks (Similar to AWS Config)

Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience with AWS environment (must), operations and automation.5+ years of experience in DevOps concepts and best practicesStrong hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux OS and scripting requiredMust have experience with the traditional developer toolset and practices such as source control management, conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and familiarity with agile principles.Knowledge of networking and information security concepts/best practicesExperience with scripting languages such as bash, PowerShell, or Python requiredGood written and verbal communication skills in English
