Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Responsible for the economic and efficient direct management of various direct-run food and beverage operations within Food, Hospitality, and Recreation Division. Oversee the day-to-day operations including Starbucks, bar, ready-prepared food production, and catering services. Coordinates food and beverage service for special events, banquets, and social functions. Collaborate with the chef and other team members to create and set pricing for food and bar menus. Ensure proper supply of food and beverages, and other necessary items by coordinating directly with approved vendors and maintaining an accurate inventory. Develop and implement marketing initiatives to promote events, special promotions and food and beverage offerings. Works with the Food and Beverage Program Manager in establishing financial goals, implementing higher level directives and formulating procedures to ensure high standards in the Food and Beverage Department. Adheres to proper military and civilian protocol, and coordinates with military and civilian leadership in connection with Food and Beverage activities. Plan, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Prepares financial reports on sales, expenses, labor costs, profitability and exercises authority on approved budget. Implement business practices and initiatives that promote efficiency and productivity. Directly or indirectly, subordinate supervisors supervises employees. Counsels and trains employees, schedules and directs work, appraises work performance. Approves or disapproves leave, and personnel actions. Must be alert to substance abuse and take appropriate action. Effectively supports the Marine Corps Equal Employment Opportunity and Sexual Harassment policies, and ensures compliance with fire, safety, and other environmental issues and programs. Maintains and enforces security of funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse. Responsible for establishing customer service standards and setting performance metrics to ensure service goals are met and high-quality service are delivered to customers. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Ensure that customer feedback and concerns are addressed and resolved in a professional manner.. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications A minimum of four years of managerial experience that demonstrates knowledge in multi- function food & beverage operations. Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and patrons, and communicate orally and in writing. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
