Job DescriptionAECOM has positions available for a bilingual Community Engagement Specialists to serve on the six-member Club Ride Event Squad in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a part-time position with approximately 20 hours per week staffing community outreach events. Bilingual capabilities in spanish/english.
As a member of the Club Ride Event Squad, you will be responsible for staffing Club Ride events and presentations at locations across Clark County. These events emphasize engaging with the community, promote green transportation options and support Club Ride’s program goals. Events range broadly from employer events, benefits fairs, new hire orientations, community events, and bicycle safety education events, among others. You will educate commuters/travelers about transportation options and the benefits, help them determine the best options, plan travel via transit and other modes, promote special events like bike month and commuter challenges, register individuals for Club Ride programs and services and teach them how to use the website and app. You will work in a fast-paced team environment.
Club Ride is a program of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) that works with the business community, regional stakeholders and residents to reduce traffic congestion and travel emissions in Southern Nevada. The program provides education, services and promotions that encourage the use of transit, active transportation, carpooling and vanpooling as a means to improve quality of live in the community.
The responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Conduct onsite events, promotions and marketing activities at partner sites to promote alternative mode use and register employees for Club Ride programs and servicesBilingually communicate with community and partners in English and SpanishEffectively communicate persuasively with individuals to influence, motivate, and inform travelers in the use of travel optionsMaintain a solid understanding of the Club Ride program to answer program and service related questions accurately and professionallyExecute prescheduled community outreach events in Clark CountyEngaged with individuals directly to promote the Club Ride program positively resulting in increased program demandDiscuss program and service options that are best suited to address the publics’ needs and positively impact the communityPresent information on programs and services through events and presentations at employer and public sites (e.g., carpool, pre-tax transit benefits, compressed work weeks, bicycle programs, commute incentives, pedestrian safety, transit trip scheduling)Increase participation rates and program awareness among employees at partner locationsServe as a transportation resource for worksite partners and organizations throughout Clark CountyGuide individuals through the enrollment processCommunicate and provide support to existing membersGain a comprehensive understanding of Club Ride’s mission, target audience, and promotional techniquesAttend staff meetings and training to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our program and improve outreach skillsAdhere to our company policies and demonstrate an understanding of our core leadership valuesEngage with the public in a friendly and respectful mannerExceed monthly performance metricsTrack employer relationships and activities over time, by utilizing SalesForce.com, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft ExcelQualificationsMinimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalentDemonstrated ability to communicate fluently in SpanishValid US Driver’s License is required for this position. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewThe ability to lift and carry presentation equipment that may weigh up to 30 lbs.Must have reliable access to a mobile cellular telephonePreferred Qualifications:
