Club Supervisor

The Role

The Club Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the smooth operations of the club's floor area, ensuring exceptional service delivery, member satisfaction, and adherence to club policies and standards. He/she will lead a team of floor staff, coordinate events with the member service team, and maintain a welcoming and upscale environment for our esteemed members and their guests.  This role reports to the Food and Beverage Manager.

Spurs Club

A first-of-its-kind chef-driven private social club and restaurant located atop the Victory Capital Performance Center at The Rock at La Cantera.  Members can gather to work, entertain, and unwind in a premier style.  Members will enjoy an array of amenities including multiple bars, fine dining, lounge/personal workspace, and unparallel access and connectivity in support of the San Antonio Spurs.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily operations of the club's floor area, including opening and closing procedures.

- Lead, train, and supervise floor staff, including servers, bartenders, back servers, reception, and runners.

- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery.

- Foster a positive and cohesive team environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.

- Ensure that all members and guests always receive exceptional service.

- Address member concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.

- Anticipate member needs and proactively resolve any issues to enhance their experience.

- Implement and enforce club policies and procedures consistently.

- Coordinate with vendors, entertainment, and other external partners as necessary.

- Ensure seamless execution of events while maintaining high standards of service.

- Oversee staff check in and breaks, and document attendance while monitoring staffing levels and labor cost.

- Ensure readiness of dining areas and staff opening preparation for shifts, including reception, servers, back servers, bartenders, and culinary.

- Following opening and closing check list to ensure preparation and close.

- Enforcing member policy and rules including but not limited to dress code, phone usage, camera usage and VIP interaction.

- Monitor and manage inventory by assisting in monthly inventory counts, alerting management of any inventory needs.

- Ensure timely start of service and conduct pre-organized and consistent daily pre-shift meetings to communicate updates and expectations.

- Support VIP service protocols for high-profile guests, members, and partners and ensure communication with the team.

- Ensure proper handling of special requests related to food allergies, preferences, and guest accommodations.

- Maintain club ambiance by managing music, lighting, furniture arrangement and cleanliness in all zones.

- Coordinate with the Events Coordinator and management team to prepare for all private events, game-day activations, and programming.

- Give clear and concise directions to staff and ensure proper completion by inspecting all delegated tasks.

- Ensure all club policies and procedures are followed regarding safety, security, hospitality, and operations.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a private club or upscale restaurant environment.

- Two years’ experience in fine dining or club environment.

- Familiarity with POS systems and basic financial management principles.

- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on exceeding member expectations.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including bar service and event coordination.

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
