Clubs & Activities Analyst

Purpose Summary 

Working from their home office, the Student Clubs & Activities Analyst will lead the selection, development, and implementation of assigned K–12 student clubs and activities. The Student Clubs & Activities Analyst will serve as a leader for innovation in developing and implementing virtually delivered clubs and activities. Responsibilities include reviewing and revising existing K–12 clubs and activities, supporting the development of new offerings, and managing the implementation of selected clubs and activities. Successful candidates will have a strong background in developing and managing student activities, as well as a passion for fostering collaboration and social interaction among students. An ideal candidate will have strong technology skills including working on several online platforms at once, presenting in a virtual environment, and expertise in both Microsoft® Office programs and Google™ tools. 

Core Tasks and Responsibilities 

Execute day to day operations of assigned clubs and activities, and events  Launch, teach, and manage K–12 student clubs and activities to meet program needs and instructional best practices for both synchronous and asynchronous formats;  Provide subject matter expertise as needed for assigned club and activity efforts;  Develop and deliver LiveLesson© presentations to support clubs and student engagement;  Develop an expertise in assigned clubs, and seek new and innovative ways to enhance student experience;  Collaborate with software development, multimedia standards & design team and other teams that support Clubs & Activities to define and refine the clubs and activities development and implementation system requirements;  Coordinate with various cross-departmental team members and third-party content and course providers;  Maintain prompt effective communication about clubs and activities events, timelines, and implementation (e.g., Message Boards, WebMail communication, fliers, newsletter blurbs, etc.);  Analyze data, monitor to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of assigned clubs and activities, and seek ways to implement changes for improvement;   Stay current on recent social networking, student collaboration, and instructional strategies, trends, and initiatives;  Contribute to improved retention of students by providing engaging extracurricular clubs and activities and virtual socialization opportunities; and   Other duties as assigned. 

 

Required Skills, Experience, and Competencies 

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum, training, or related field  Valid teaching credential required (any state)  Minimum of three years successful K-12 teaching experience (or related work experience in education), virtual experience preferred  Familiarity with online socialization tools   Minimum of two years of curriculum development experience with the integration of third-party content preferred  Knowledge of Accessibility WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.0 standards preferred  Experience with Pearson Online Classroom, Zoom, and Class preferred.   Proficient in online technology (especially with Microsoft® Office programs, Google™ tools, learning management platforms, Windows 10, and web conferencing software)  Strong verbal and written communication skills  Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines  Ability to support multiple simultaneous projects and solve problems; project management experience preferred  Ability to work a full-time schedule encompassing a standard 8-hour workday, with a preference for core hours from 12-5pm ET.  Must enjoy a challenging work environment that requires flexibility, self-direction, creativity, and effective communication skills

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $54,000 - $60,000 per year
