We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Cluster Controller to oversee the Controlling and Accounting functions for the Southern European and Baltic Cluster. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with US GAAP and SOX regulations, and the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls. The successful candidate will bring deep technical accounting expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in multinational finance operations. This role requires exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments across multiple countries.
Your role in our mission
Lead and oversee the month-end, quarterly, and annual financial close for multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and company accounting policies.
Manage and develop the regional Controlling and Accounting teams, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and adherence to best practices in financial governance.
Drive financial risk assessment, balance sheet integrity, and compliance monitoring, implementing proactive measures to address potential financial misstatements.
Provide strategic financial insight to senior management by preparing and reviewing financial reports, flux analyses, and variance explanations to support business decisions.
Serve as the key point of contact for internal and external auditors, regulatory authorities, and global finance teams, ensuring successful audits and regulatory compliance.
Lead financial process optimization and systems enhancements, leveraging technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities across the Cluster.
Valued skills and experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Numerous years of progressive finance experience in a multinational corporate environment, with at least several years in a leadership role overseeing finance, accounting, and compliance functions.
Expert knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, internal controls, and statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Proven track record in leading month-end close, financial consolidations, and reporting processes for a large, complex organization.
Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams across multiple geographies.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and collaborate effectively across functional and regional teams.
