Capital Mrkts Sales & ServiceBMO Capital Markets Corp. seeks CM VP-IC Investment Banking I in New York, NY to create pitch books for clients with respect to financial solutions and participate in their presentation to clients. Monitor client, client industry, and regulatory agencies for potential changes that may affect client portfolio and business needs. Initiate contact with partners for new client sales. Manage a diverse portfolio of private and public companies with progression toward increasing client responsibility. Review and continually monitor performance of existing accounts and client relationships. Conduct client visits, business model analysis, and review industry trends and related regulations. Identify opportunities to diversify client portfolios and to increase efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients. Support execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure alignment between stakeholders. Create financial models to analyze client portfolios and anticipate client needs. Apply appropriate technical concepts and complete/lead consistent and reliable technical and financial reports/analyses to support client deliverables. Operate as key member of deal team to maximize sector penetration and returns. Institute cross-selling initiatives to increase ranking with client. Collaborate with sector coverage partners for clients and prospects to identify/deliver creative, timely solutions. Provide deal expertise and prepare/oversee delivery of creative and timely pitches. Support credit concurrence/pricing efforts as a client advocate. Assist in the development of strategic plans. Use financial analysis to proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell. Identify opportunities to find more cost-effective ways to impact the bottom line and drive profitability. Review and guide work of Analysts and Associates to deliver business results.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as an Associate or related occupation advising companies on investment banking related topics focusing on equity and capital-raising transactions. Employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as an Associate or related occupation advising companies on investment banking related topics focusing on equity and capital-raising transactions. Experience must include: Providing clients with industry sector expertise through knowledge of capital markets, investment banking products and applicable regulations; Leading and executing equity transactions; Performing quantitative analytics and financial modeling to conduct business model and sector analysis; Participating in deal teams to develop, present, win mandates, and execute new opportunities, including transaction/deal execution and/or project management; and Using data providers such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, FactSet, Dealogic, Refinitiv, and Pitchbook to monitor clients and client industries, create financial models and develop financial solutions for clients. Must possess: SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 certifications. Hybrid role - minimum 4 days in office per week.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
