Location:San Jose, CA

Duration: 40 hours a week

Frequency: 3 Months

Pay Rate: $40.00 an hour

 

Responsibilities Ensure CMM’s integrity, calibration, qualification, etc.Determines unstated or hidden dimensions from a blueprint, working with fractions, decimals, and trigonometry.Inspect parts, assemblies and finished products in accordance with specifications and/or legal requirements.Follows company’s inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials.Ensure raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards and customer requirements.Prioritize items to be inspected/task to be performed based on production and manufacturing schedules, maintaining a minimum turnaround time.Produce inspection reports as appropriate / requested.Provide work leadership to lower-level associates; acts as liaison between Quality Assurance department and all other departments.Generate first article inspection (FAI) projects to be used during CMM inspection.Perform FAI package reviews and/or audits to ensure compliance with FAI requirements.Assist third party inspectors with part and/or FAI inspection.Provide input in the development of product manufacturing processes and workmanship standards.Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Qualifications Five-plus years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to program Inspection Projects using Discus, PC-DMIS, Calipso or Verisurf software.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be detail orientated, self-motivated.Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, oscilloscopes, component testers.Ability to analyze data for accuracy and interpret results.Must be proficient in use of computers and software programs.Must be a team player and process driven.The candidate needs to be able to access and use web-based tools and applications with little to no direction
