CMM Operator
Provide quality support for engineering and manufacturing in the area of dimensional feedback for quality planning and product integrity. This service is provided through the ability to program, operate, and translate data from CMM equipment.

Performance Expectations
· Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and:
o The Global Operating System Plays;
o OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety management system standard;
o ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management system standard;
o IATF 16949:2016 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards.
· Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.
· Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
· Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.
· Maintain department 5S requirements.
· Setup, operate, perform basic CMM maintenance and troubleshoot CMM issues on multiple production parts to assure adherence to customer(s) quality standards.
· Determine when a production part does not meet specs, request corrective action, and perform follow up checks.
· Take the lead with manufacturing to ensure all aspects of quality assurance are maintained and improved upon.
· Assist manufacturing in troubleshooting quality issues on the manufacturing lines.
· Participation in continuous improvement process
· Adhere to all H&S and environmental laws and procedures.
· Other duties as assigned.
Credentials
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency
Desired Characteristics
· Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance standards
· Ability to understand and follow directions given
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Required PPE includes ear plugs, stel toe shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and gloves to be worn as needed.
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
· General knowledge in Statistical Process Control.
· Ability to read and interpret process specs.
· Knowledge of Zeiss CMM programming.
· Knowledge of Calypso software.
· Basic knowledge of creating, editing, and modifying CMM programs.
· Familiarity with metric measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
· Ability to operate an overhead crane.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
· A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years previous CMM programming experience is desirable.
· Working knowledge of machine processes is beneficial.
· General knowledge of SPC is desirable.
· Knowledge of how to navigate a network PC system is beneficial.
