Position: CMM Programmer / Operator
Location: Wichita, KS
Duration: 6 months with potential extension
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8) hr shifts
Pay Rate: BOE Ranging from $30.00-$45.00/hr
Job Summary:
As the CMM Programmer/Operator, you will utilize innovative methods and techniques to facilitate process reconfigurations. To accomplish this, you must be fully aware of process qualification techniques and maintain knowledge of N/C procedures such as tooling packages, program conversion techniques, and process improvement projects to ensure optimum quality. An excellent understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques and the ability to operate and create programs using Polyworks, is required. In addition, you will collaborate with Machine Shop Management, Quality Audit, and other Engineering functions throughout the problem-solving process. This will require excellent communication skills to bring sides together for problem resolution. Your time spent collaborating with these teams to develop process enhancements is the majority of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
5-10 years experience working with AS9100 Aerospace Manufacturer Min 5 years CMM Experience Experience with GD&T, Interpreting blue prints and model based enginerringCatia Experience, preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Create and operate Polyworks CMM programs to facilitate inspectionsPropose preventative actions necessary to avoid the recurrence of problems on complex, long-term jobsDevelop and maintain positive problem-solving relationships with various engineering functionsPerform a wide variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques such as SPC, geometric tolerancing, etcAssist machinists in quality-related activities (use and care of inspection equipment, interpretation of blueprints)
