Due to business growth and on-going investments, we are looking to attract a skilled CMM programmer with the desired skill to programme parts and validate inspection.Flexible shift available to cover afternoon working arrangements
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for CMM Part programming using M-Cosmos or PCDMIS software and supporting technical questionsSupporting first piece part inspection checks .Participates in problem solving analysis and solutions as requested.Works independently with minimum supervision and trains othersRequired Minimum Qualifications Education/Certifications: HS Diploma/equivalentSkills and Experience:Must have experience of CMM Part programming using M-Cosmos or PCDMIS softwareMust have experience of CMM Offline programming6+ years of previous visual and dimensional inspection experience inspecting complex parts using inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauge, gage pins, optical comparators, etc.Subject Matter Expert (SME) in inspecting all types of complex parts, across various types of equipmentExperience inspecting parts with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Experience with optical inspection systems, such as Keyence and OGP is preferredAbility to read and interpret mechanical part and assembly drawingsGood computer skills and the ability to apply basic shop math is requiredClose visual attention, reasoning, and judgment are requiredExperience in precision engineering in Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Defence, Nuclear, Oil and Gas or Medical industries preferableJob Environment:Physical Requirements: Standing Frequently (46-100%) Sitting Frequently (46-100%) Lifting Up to 10lbs without assistance Carrying Up to 10lbs without assistance Walking Occasionally (16-45%) Hearing Ability to detect noises with or without corrective device(s) Vision Clarity of vision, with or without corrective lensesMental Requirements: Problem Solving Occasionally (16-45%) Making Decisions Ability to make decisions that have a moderate impact Supervise Rarely (0-15%) Interpret Data Frequently (46-100%) Organize Frequently (46-100%) Read/Write Frequently (46-100%) Communication Frequently (46-100%)Work Environment High Temperatures Rarely (0-15%) Low Temperatures Rarely (0-15%) Noises Loud (manufacturing environment, movement of large equipment) Fumes Exposure Rarely (0-15%)Note: This Job Description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
