Job Description
As a CMT Technician, you will assist with sampling and testing soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials as needed. You will support field and lab staff in completing tasks, transport equipment, specimens, or documents, and help set up equipment. Additionally, you will maintain a clean work area and assist other technicians or staff with routine tasks. This role requires you to learn and retain information to become self-sufficient and grow within the company. You must follow quality policies and procedures, consistently aim for high-quality work, and adhere to safety policies and procedures, including participating in near-miss and safety audit programs to help improve them.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with sampling and testing soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials as needed.
+ Support field and lab staff in completing tasks.
+ Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to field staff, labs, clients, or other offices.
+ Help set up equipment.
+ Maintain a clean work area.
+ Assist other technicians or staff with routine tasks.
+ Learn and retain information to become self-sufficient and grow within the company.
+ Follow quality policies and procedures, aiming for high-quality work.
+ Adhere to safety policies and procedures, participating in near-miss and safety audit programs.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction materials testing, including concrete and soil testing (1-2 years).
+ Ability to lift 10 - 50 lbs. and work outside for extended periods of time.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Willingness to work weekends as needed.
Work Environment
The work environment includes both outdoor and lab settings. Employees are expected to work outside for extended periods of time and in a lab environment. The dress code and specific work conditions will be determined based on the tasks at hand. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
