CNA 2 - 0.6 FTE Day

The CNA 2/HUC is a key person within the decentralized nursing unit, who provides overall administrative and technical support in the operation of the unit; collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight, and operation of the unit; and performs CNA II patient care duties. Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

CLERICAL: Initiates and prioritizes transcription of provider orders. Assembles and maintains patient charts, current forms and results/reports. 
COMMUNICATION: Serves as the hub of all communication for the unit. Displays professional interpersonal skills when communicating with patients, public and staff. Serves as front-line customer service representative.

Required qualifications:

Coursework/Training and Health Unit Coordinator or secretarial coursework along with a medical terminology course or experience. Or Health Unit Coordinator: 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in a health care environment. Coursework/Training and Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course. Or CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements. Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License  Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association  Experience with a variety of software applications.

Preferred qualifications:

1 year of Acute care hospital experience, ideally performing CNA and/or Health Unit Coordinator duties. 1 year of experience as a CNA 2.
