CNA 2 – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Medford Medical Center.  This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7:30pm, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends.   

Providence Medford Medical Center is a certified Level 3 trauma center and nationally recognized for excellent stroke care.  Our Medical/Surgical unit (2 East) is a 35 bed inpatient unit that provides care for a combination of general medical and post-surgical patients. Our nurses care for a wide variety of diagnoses and surgical procedures, making it an excellent learning environment. In addition, the unit sees a small population of pediatric patients as we continue to grow that service line. 2 East is a fast paced, team oriented unit with a strong commitment to delivering safe, quality patient care.

In this position you will:  

Contribute to a high functioning team   Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers  Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights    Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests   Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices   Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference   Other duties as assigned  

The Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course or equivalent educ/experience Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License  Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart 

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year experience as a CNA 2.
