Job Summary
As a member of the nursing team with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for the care of our patients according to their individual plans, unit routines, and hospital policies. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Essential Functions
Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or equivalent Required Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training CourseCRT-Nursing Assistant - Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems UPON HIRE except WITHIN 90 DAYS RNCs (Fuller, Kalamazoo, Reed City, United/Kelsey) Lakeland 120 days Upon Hire required LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Hospice, Caring Circle Hospice except Hanson Hospice Center, NRS Home Care, and United/Kelsey/Reed City CNAs who transport patients off-site\r Upon Hire required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association United/Kelsey, Big Rapids, Reed City, Gerber & Continuing Care (except Hospice) BLS certification required for Caring Circle Hospice. 90 Days required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross United/Kelsey, Big Rapids, Reed City, Gerber & Continuing Care (except Hospice) BLS certification not required at Lakeland Pine Ridge long term care facility.
