We believe patient comfort begins with basic patient care. You’ll excel in your nursing career by assisting in the delivery of  nursing care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a defined care team and in accordance with scope of practice. Nursing Assistants at St. Joseph's Health collects patient information, supports patient medication schedule reminders, assists with meals and ensures each patient’s personal needs are met. You play a vital role as a liaison between our patients and their care teams. Patients depend on our CNAs and we’re looking to add another to our established team!

Responsibilities
Tasks are assigned by nursing staff in clear, detailed and specific instructions.  CNAs work as instructed and seek guidance on matters not specifically covered in the original instructions.  Work is reviewed through progress checks for accuracy, adequacy and adherence to standards, instructions and established procedures. What you’ll do:Contributes to the assessment of the health status of patients.Assist medical/nursing staff in the examination, treatment and care of patients, including the transport of patients and equipment and assisting in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients.  Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, charts, reports, etc., and submit these as may be required.Communicate patient information with care teams.Assist patients/families with meals or changing bed linens.Reports any changes in a patient's condition to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.Must have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse environment.Amongst additional responsibilities...
Qualifications
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred: 

Experience in inpatient medical/surgical setting.
