Job Descriptions: Maine Veterans’ Home of South Paris is excited to announce their "Earn While You Learn" CNA Training Program, being offered in collaboration with the Oxford Hills/ Nezinscot Adult Education Program. The next class is scheduled to begin on September 23, 2024, and will run for six weeks, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm each day. Candidates who are selected for the MVH "Earn While You Learn" program will receive their training free of charge, including free training materials. In the state of Maine, costs for this training, including coursework materials, background check, pre-course testing and program approval, ranges from $500-$1,900. In addition to free training, candidates will be also be compensated hourly for their course time and for any hours worked as a Unit Helper & CNA Trainee. An unbeatable opportunity! As a Unit Helper/CNA Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced and knowledgeable nursing staff supporting residents of the MVH South Paris long-term care unit, working toward completion of the state CNA exam. Upon successful completion of the course and passing the CNA State exam, students will be offered full time employment as a CNA as part of the CMS 5-star-rated MVH-South Paris Team!
