Responsibilities
Position Summary:Assists the licensed staff in providing unskilled care to patients appropriate to patient age in Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:6 months experience in extended care or acute facilityCertification from nurses aide training program in State of CaliforniaCurrent BLS certification (American Heart Association)Demonstrates skill in patient transfers to wheelchairs gurneys etc.Demonstrates skill in proper use of body mechanicsDemonstrates skill in taking vital signsDemonstrates skill in dealing with the public and using the telephone correctlyMust possess organizational skills for all physical duties and be able to work with diverse groups of peopleAble to do work in spite of frequent interruptionsAbility to read work product of others computer/monitor screens computer printoutsAble to perform mathematical calculationsHigh level of concentration and attention to detailAbility to work with a team and prioritize workProfessionalism and confidentiality skills required
