Responsibilities
Must be able to perform the following tasks efficiently: perform/record vital signs, CPR, apply oxygen delivering systems, perform simple wound irrigation/direct pressure/dressings, prepare sterile field for suturing, assist provider with treatment when appropriate, apply restraints, clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization, collect urine specimens, and phlebotomyAssists in making observations, gathering data, and identifying patient care needsAssists with patient transports and transfersAnswer telephones, filing, greet patients/visitors, transcribe provider’s orders, electronic data entry, and assist with documentationAssists with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and suppliesPractices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policiesUtilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
Required Licensure and Certifications
Certified Nurse Assistant; North Dakota, required.ND State Nursing Assistant Registry - https://services.ndhhs.gov/nurseaideAmerican Hearth Association Basic Life Support (BLS)-CPR.within 30 days of start.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
