Our unit, comprising 19 beds, is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with newly diagnosed cancer, those undergoing active treatment, or individuals with a history of cancer. Within Oncology Acute, we encompass a spectrum of specialties, including medical, radiation, gynecologic, and surgical oncology. Our team is committed to delivering personalized care that addresses the unique needs of each patient under our watch. As a dynamic unit, we regularly administer various treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, nuclear medicine, and blood transfusions. These interventions are tailored to ensure the highest standards of care and support for our patients throughout their cancer journey. Sign On Bonus Eligible! $2000 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment Starting pay for this position is $18.98/hour; base pay offered may increase based on experience. POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED Experience Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
