As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Product Lead within the Compute and Networking Business Unit (CNBU), the team member is responsible for managing new product sample demand to support CNBU customers, working with a variety of technologies and architectures, including NAND, DRAM, and complex products. Team member will be responsible for managing the introduction of multiple ID's at the same time, each of which may be at a different stage of introduction. In this position, the team member must adapt quickly to changing priorities, schedules and work cross functionally to align to the customer needs. In addition, this team member will need to drive the creation/improvement of processes needed to support product ramp to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
Job Description: NPI Product Leads must be willing to drive towards a comprehensive customer sample plan that will ramp into a high-volume product. This person will lead cross functional teams to develop/improve and document business process that are necessary to ramp a product.
Product Lead responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work with the Product Marketing teams to confirm product configuration requirements and priorities with the goal of optimizing cost and portfolio over the expected product lifecycle.
• Align with the Product Operation Management (POM) on the manufacturing strategy.
• Communicate expected availability dates to the Business Unit(s) and other internal teams for Go to Market communications, Customer Roadmap alignment and Bill of Material positioning.
• Coordinate build & shipment priorities in alignment with Marketing priorities
• Align with cross functional team on fulfilling customer sample demand, understanding product issues, manufacturing line issues and scheduling priorities.
• Work with manufacturing teams, Marketing, Operations and Sales to identify aged and slow-moving inventory and develop inventory depletion plans
• Maintain and publish Decoders for Marketing Part Number and Package Code
• Support timely execution of new product launches and enabling samples into the market – buffer stock management, sample order fulfillment, tracking and execution.
• Support enabler validation samples as needed.
• Work cross functionally to identify and drive business process creation or improvements as necessary to support high volume manufacturing.
• Business Planning & Performance to Plan
o Monitor and manage through key supply bottle necks
o Monitor Performance to Plan and highlight and resolve any concerns
• Portfolio Review
• CCRs – manage customer restrictions with supply chain
• Execute ID (DID) and Marketing Part Number (MPN) creation for high-volume manufacturing
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and presentation skillsExperience leading cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines and sites while managing multiple high priority projectsStrong analytical skills, ability to synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data and translate into meaningful informationIntermediate to Advanced level of expertise with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OutlookExperience leading/working with cross functional teams.Experience with manufacturing or design of memory productExperience with Power BI, Sequel and/or some type of programming is strongly preferredAbility to travelEducation:
