Role Responsibilities

To load raw material into and cut, burn, shear, or bend sheet steel and structural steel per drawingsAbility to program, set-up and operate metal cutting machines to cut and shape parts to specifications using CNC programming including performing machine maintenancePerform first piece quality inspections and fill out necessary paperwork for recordMaterial Handling and Transportation of ProductOperation of Overhead Cranes and lifting devicesUse mechanical ability, work instructions, and hand toolsRead blueprints to determine how to make necessary shapesAbility to use proper instruments such as:  protractor, calipers, tape measures, steel gauges, etc.Report steel usage and count inventoryReceive and properly store sheet steel and structural steel

Minimum Qualifications:

Read a tape measure and basic blueprintsMaterial handling with forklifts and cranesInventory counting and material identificationAbility to work with close tolerancesHigh School Diploma or GED is required
