Start your new career as a CNC Machine Operator with our client in Newnan, GA. As a CNC Operator, you will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. You will ensure quality and safety standards are met, maintain accurate records, and manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies.

Ability to stoop, bend, and crouch Tolerance for exposure to extreme heat Ability to stand for extended periods (100% standing) Willingness to walk significant distances throughout the shift What You’ll Do as a CNC Machine Operator: Plan machining by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, surface locations, and machining parameters, while interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, setting zero and reference points, configuring tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry, while proving part programs Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers, and indicating vices and tramming heads Load feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces, ensuring compliance with international standards Maintain specifications during drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread-chasing operations by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting controls, sharpening or replacing worn tools, and following quality assurance procedures Ensure safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate repairs when necessary, following manufacturer instructions Document actions by completing production and quality logs to maintain accurate records
