CNC Machine Operator
**Job Title: CNC Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled 1st shift CNC Machine Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating CNC Mills and Lathes, ensuring high-quality standards are met, and maintaining the machines in good working condition. $24-$26/hr 1st shift: 5:00am-1:30pm OR 6:00am-2:30pm Must be flexible to work 1-2 hours of OT/day if needed Flexible to wok some Saturdays) **Responsibilities** + Plan your day by reviewing the work order to determine the priority sequence (FIFO – RMA – RUSH) and ensure there are machines available for all product classes in process. + Swap and touch-off fixtures as necessary. + Determine if machine condition allows you to proceed by checking coolant percentage, tool life, alarms, fluid levels, and baskets. + Ensure coolant pressure is adequate and spray ports are working properly to achieve the desired machined finish and maximize tool life. + Verify all machined finishes to ensure they meet Quality Standards and avoid product flow interruptions due to tool wear or broken tools. + Ensure assigned machines are always kept in good working condition to satisfy demands and minimize downtime by checking coolant and fluid levels, tools, fixtures, window rubber, lights, and baskets. + Log all downtime conditions due to tool or machine problems. + Keep all logs current, including communication log, productivity log, and program run log. + Perform the hosing down of the inside of all HS as scheduled. + Move completed product to the next workstation. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of CNC Operating Experience + Ability to correctly and safely use the hand tools required to perform the job function + Ability to stay focused to ensure minimal disruptions to product flow and avoid careless mistakes + Ability to keep track of time + Ability to read and write English + Ability to follow safety procedures + Ability to read, sort, check, and verify numbers + Ability to perform simple arithmetic + Ability to use calipers or micrometers + Ability to learn CNC Controls + Ability to quickly identify abnormalities in machining operations and/or finishes **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with CNC, Blueprint, CNC Mill, and CNC Lathe + Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, production, machine operation, lathe, mill, hand tools, and micrometers **Why Work Here?** This is a contract-to-hire position, offering opportunities for career growth and stability. **Work Environment** Our facility manufactures high-quality pistons from 2618 alloy forgings. It is not a large shop, providing a close-knit and focused work environment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Huntington Beach, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
