Role summary:

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Your tasks:

Preparing and setting up machines, changing cutting tools, preparing and setting up cutting tools

Retrieving drawings, setting up machines and adjusting measuring tools

Correcting the NC code on the CNC machines, writing simple programs, working out program optimizations

Manufacturing sample parts, correcting dimensions and cutting parameters

Processing, checking workpieces and settings

Deburring parts

Controlling and monitoring the organizational processes

Eliminating machine malfunctions

Carrying out maintenance, repair and service on the machines

Your profile:

Vocational degree as an industrial mechanic, milling technician, CNC machine operator or equivalent.

2+ years machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills.

Experience in the manufacturing industry.

Fluency written and spoken German.

Flexibility, ability to work in a team and act responsibly, reliability.
