CNC Machinist: Lathe Operator GT Rotor (4x10 Night Shift, Mon.-Thurs. 3:45pm - 2:15am)
**A Snapshot of Your Day** As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for the precise manufacturing of components using CNC lathe machinery, ensuring adherence to safe and efficient production processes. You will operate and monitor the lathe equipment, ensuring that all products are produced to the highest quality standards and within specified timelines. Your role will involve a commitment to continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles. Working with minimal supervision, you will manage your own workflow, including setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + Set up and operate all large horizontal lathes and perform various machining (turning, milling, and drilling) operations on a variety of parts and components + Sets-up and operates one or more of the following: + CNC Lathe with various control software + Set up machine using various steady rest **What You Bring** + Minimum 3 years of CNC Lathe experience with Siemens Energy and/or FANUC controls is required. + Strong abilities to use math, follow complex drawings, and perform complex measurements. + Proven ability to use precision gages and set tooling to high accuracies, preferably on large diameters. + Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck and Critical Lift (B+) level crane licenses. + Must be able to work overtime as required. Successful applicants require a skills assessment. + Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and PFT. + Must have Silver National Career Readiness Certificate. **About the Team** Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization.
