Job Title: CNC Machinist

Shift: 2nd shift Monday-Thursday 2:30PM-1:00AM (Will train on 1st shift for a couple months)

Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour

Job Description

Precision manufacturer of aluminum and steel products for private and military applications. The majority of their work is done for defense companies and the US Navy. Aluminum computer and systems enclosures comprise the majority of their business.

ResponsibilitiesComplete and independent setup of all CNC mills and manual machines in a productive manner.Obtain standard or develop and utilize improvised tooling and fixturing as required to machine parts to required tolerances as specified by the blueprints and other work instructions.Operate machining equipment in a manner that ensures all quality and efficiency requirements are met.Plan the tooling, programming, and material requirements for the next scheduled job to ensure a systematic and efficient changeover.Understand CNC machine programming and modify programs at the terminal.Maintain accurate written and computerized records of tooling requirements and program changes as required.Perform periodic maintenance as required.Utilize tools, supplies, and equipment in a cost-effective manner.Be goal-oriented, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and success in achieving department objectives.Inspect own work to verify compliance.Work Environment

The shop is very clean and consists of 20-30 employees. The majority of the work is done on aluminum. Closed-toe shoes or work boots are required, no shorts allowed, jeans and t-shirts are acceptable, and safety glasses will be provided if needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
