CNC Machinist -2nd Shift

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a CNC Machinist -2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $27.32 + $1.00 p/h shift differential per hour. The hours for second shift are as follows; 3:30 pm - 12:00 am.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary    
•    Eaton Aerospace Group is currently seeking CNC Setup Machinists to join our 2nd shift team. This position is based in our Jackson, MS facility. Relocation assistance is provided.  
•    Now offering a $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS.  
•    The curret working hours are 3:30p.m. -midnight (M-F). The current hourly rate is up to $25.50/hr. plus $0.60 shift differential.

Job Responsibilities    
•    The CNC Machinist will perform a combination of duties that include the following classification functions: Finishing Cell Machining, Forming Cell Machining, Product Support Technician, Sub-Assembly, Storekeeping, Material Handling, and Cleaning & Snagging. •    In this function you will:
•    Rotate through each lean cell function and rotation through other lean cells.
•    Perform visual and physical inspection of parts using functional measuring equipment.
•    Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) know how to detect an out-of-control condition as well as other problem solving methodologies to ensure quality of product. 
•    Interpret and work from complex drawings, blueprints and specifications.
•    Set up and operate various types of machines and finishing equipment (lathes, mills, drills; CNC & Manual, grinders, CNC grinders, laps, hones) without assitance and maintain proper tolerances. 
•    Be responsible for returning all tools to their proper location at the end of the shift and cleaning work area. 
•    Perform sub-assembly operations such as, installation of pins, plugs, inserts, bearings, miscellaneous components, etc.

Qualifications:

Education level required     

High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

Years and area of experience required    

One of the following is also required: -Currently possesses a Machining certificate or Associate's degree in a technical field, or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in machining. CNC experience with lathes, mills, grinders, manual hone, or lap.
