Job Description
Join our dynamic Machining Department as a Lead Programmer, where you will play a crucial role in operating and programming CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional quality control.
Work Environment
Work in a fast-paced machine shop department equipped with HAAS CNC machines, including dual spindle setups. Collaborate closely with a multicultural team of approximately 50 employees in an open production facility with proper ventilation. Enjoy a casual business dress environment with a focus on good communication and teamwork. The work schedule runs from Monday to Thursday, 5 am to 3:30 pm, 3:30 pm to 1:30 am, and a weekend shift running Friday - Sunday 6am to 6pm.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate various CNC machines, focusing on machining plastics and steel.Determine tooling, tool paths, setup methods, and fixtures to produce parts efficiently.Edit machine programs to optimize performance and accuracy.Organize the production area’s workflow to enhance productivity.Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Read and analyze blueprints to ensure precise machining.Utilize G-Code for programming and operational purposes.Essential Skills2-5 years of experience as a CNC machinist.Fluency in Mastercam Software.Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift experience is beneficial.Possession of a Red Seal certification is advantageous.Soft skills such as willingness to learn, reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.Why Work Here
