CNC Machinist
**Job Summary:** The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce precision metal or plastic parts according to specifications and blueprints. This role involves ensuring high-quality production while adhering to safety and efficiency standards. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Machine Setup and Operation:** 2. Set up CNC mills and lathes, including loading and unloading materials, installing tools, and configuring machine parameters. 3. Operate machines to produce parts according to design specifications, ensuring adherence to tolerances and quality standards. 4. **Blueprint and Specification Interpretation:** 5. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements and adjustments. 6. Verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. 7. **Quality Control:** 8. Perform routine checks and inspections of parts during and after production to ensure quality and accuracy. 9. Make necessary adjustments to machines and processes to correct defects and maintain high-quality output. 10. **Documentation and Reporting:** 11. Maintain accurate records of production runs, including materials used, machine settings, and any issues encountered. 12. Report any significant deviations or defects to the supervisor and suggest improvements. 13. **Continuous Improvement:** 14. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to CNC operations and machining technologies. 15. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste. **Qualifications:** + **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining is preferred. + **Experience:** Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably with a focus on mills and lathes.
