SUMMARY:
ASSA ABLOY is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for machining production parts and reworking out-of-spec supplier parts to print dimensions using appropriate equipment, tools, and processes. Depending on your experience, you may also build fixtures for assembly and prototypes for engineering.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily:
Read, understand, and communicate blueprint detail CNC programming of multi-axis vertical and horizontal mills and machining centers Set up, operate, and maintain machining equipment including CNC machining centers, manual mills, saws, presses, drills and other equipment. Design and craft fixtures to improve machining center volume and productivity where appropriate Proficient use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and tools Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent; and a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills Will be required to interact with manufacturing software throughout the day for the job schedule and work order execution Other Skills Ability to use all varieties of hand and machine tools
