**Job Title: CNC Machinist**
**Job Description**
This individual will be responsible for setting up and operating both CNC Mills and Lathes. They will load programs into the machines, set the tooling and fixtures, and make fixture changes as needed. Mainly using Conversational & G code programming, they will read blueprints/specs and adjust the machines accordingly. Additionally, they will perform quality inspections of their pieces, including first and last piece quality inspections.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes.
+ Load programs into the machines.
+ Set tooling and fixtures, and make fixture changes.
+ Use Conversational & G code programming.
+ Read blueprints/specs and adjust machines as needed.
+ Perform first and last piece quality inspections.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of CNC Machining experience.
+ Experience with CNC Mills and Lathes.
+ Setup and tool changes.
+ 2+ years of programming experience with Conversational and G code.
+ Ability to program machines and edit programs.
+ Good job tenure.
+ Strong communication skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with blueprint reading, machining, micrometres, calipers, machine operation, troubleshooting, and CAD/CAM.

**Work Environment**
This is a 1st shift job opportunity, with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and 5 hours of overtime offered. The facility spans 150,000 sq. ft. and features modern production equipment, offices, and a laboratory. It includes climate-controlled environments with hot, cold, and spray urethane capabilities.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
