**Job Title: CNC Machinist**
**Job Description**
As a CNC Machinist, you will machine and manufacture parts for various customers and projects. Your role includes performing CNC machine setups, tooling adjustments, changeovers, running and operating machines such as CNC Okuma Mill, CNC Lathe, and CNC Haas Mill. You will also perform minor program edits when necessary and conduct quality inspections of your parts. This job involves low-rate production, requiring 2-3 setups per week with tolerances ranging from 0.005 to 0.03 inch.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform CNC machine setups, tooling adjustments, and changeovers.
+ Operate CNC Okuma Mill, CNC Lathe, and CNC Haas Mill.
+ Conduct minor program edits as needed.
+ Perform quality inspections on manufactured parts.
+ Manual machining parts using manual mill or manual lathe when necessary.
+ Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machines, including cooling changeovers, greasing, and repairing minor mechanical breakdowns.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with CNC machining and setup.
+ Knowledge of G&M codes and CNC programming.
+ Ability to read and edit G Code Programming.
+ Experience with quality control of parts.
+ Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring devices.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Technical School Degree in Precision Machining with strong G code knowledge for entry-level candidates.
+ 2-3 years of CNC machining experience, preferably with CNC Okuma Mills and Lathes.
+ Experience with CNC Haas Mill is preferred but not required.
+ Manual mill and manual lathe experience.
+ CNC Programming experience is a plus.

**Work Environment**
This is a first-shift position, working from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Initially, there is no overtime available, but post-contract, you may work up to 2-3 hours of overtime per week. The shop is non-climate controlled, equipped with fans and bay doors for ventilation during hot weather, and heaters for the winter. The temperature can reach up to 90 degrees in the summer and around 50 degrees in the winter. The facility includes two CNC Okuma Mills, one CNC Lathe, one CNC Haas Mill, a CNC Router, a manual mill, and a manual lathe.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAINT LOUIS, Missouri.
