**Job Title: CNC Machinist/Operator** **Job Description** CNC Machinists and Operators needed for 1st shift (5am-1:30pm) in a large machine shop located in Santa Ana, CA. This role requires expertise in either setting up or operating CNC lathes or mills machines (Okuma, Doosan, and Hass machines). Pay will be $20-$25 an hour for operators based on experience and $26-$33 for setup machinist. Monday to Friday 40 hour weeks. Open to train candidates out of trade school. **Responsibilities** + Set up or operate CNC lathes or mills for short run to mid run production. + Read and interpret blueprints including geometric dimensioning and tolerances. + Machine parts to tolerances of .005 (standard). + Check parts using calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy. + Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications, tolerances, and materials. + Implement instructions and programs with independent judgment. + Plan and accomplish tasks, potentially directing and leading the work of others. + Participate in and/or provide continuous training for all machines and tooling. + Maintain and track all parts and tooling required for production, including repair, cleaning, and purchased goods. + Complete all necessary operations and record them on shop routers as required. **Essential Skills** + Experience with CNC lathe and CNC mill setup and operation. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. + Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers. + Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to run multiple machines with 1-3 setups. + Experience with Okuma, Doosan, and Hass machines is a plus. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
