CNC Machinist
Job Title: CNC Machinist - 1st Shift

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience setting up, operating, and performing change overs on CNC mill machines. You will be working with various machines such as Haas Mills, Hitachi, DMUs, or Boring Mills, and will also be required to change out your own tooling, perform quality checks, and general shop cleanup duties.

ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and perform change overs on CNC mill machines.Operate Haas Mills, Hitachi, DMUs, or Boring Mills.Primarily operate CNC Mills with occasional operation of CNC Lathes.Change out your own tooling.Perform set-ups and operate your own machines.Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform quality checks on parts.Operate one machine at a time.Essential SkillsProficiency in using and reading micrometers, calipers, and gauges (digital or standard).Ability to read blueprints.Ownership of personal tools.Capability to set up, operate, and perform change overs on machines independently.Strong attendance record with minimal absences or tardiness.1-3+ years of recent CNC Mill or CNC Lathe experience in a job shop environment.Work Environment

Our facility specializes in machining custom work holding/custom fixtures for various industries including Aerospace, Agriculture, Medical, Fire Arms, Military, and Automotive. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with voluntary Saturdays and no work on Sundays. Expect to work up to 55 hours a week. Compensation ranges from $25 to $30 per hour depending on experience and capability. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position.
