**Job Title: CNC Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various CNC machine tools, including both horizontal and vertical mills. This position requires some setup experience and a strong understanding of machine shop practices. **Responsibilities** + Operate various CNC machine tools, including horizontal and vertical mills. + Keep CNC machine tools running efficiently and check the parts being produced. + Adjust offsets and locations as needed, and change inserts and cutting tools. + Gain full knowledge and understanding of speeds, feeds, and surface call outs of machined parts. + Adhere to company safety procedures and operate all machinery in a safe manner. + Perform cleanup in and around the machines and maintain proper fluid levels. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of machining experience or trade school training. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Proficiency with common machine shop measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.). + Knowledge of machine shop practices. + Ability to communicate machining errors and corrective actions clearly and timely. + Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with CNC machines, both lathe and mill. + Experience with both horizontal and vertical mills. **Why Work Here?** This is a contract-to-hire position offering the opportunity for long-term employment.
