Job Description Insight Global is looking for a CNC Machinist to join their team in Cypress, CA. This individual will be supporting one of the leading manufacturers of engines within the aerospace and defense industry. You will be supporting the organization by working to machine dimensions and maintain close tolerances with a high demand for precision, concentricity, finish, and parallelism. You will use a variety of methods to machine and manufacture key components to the organization's leading product line. This is a contract role and will be beginning on the first shift, 6 AM - 2:30 PM, and once trained, will shift to the second shift, 2-10:30 PM PST. Skills and Requirements Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required, with over 2 years of machine shop experience, including operating mills, lathes, etc. - Basic Knowledge: Operating precision tools, machining methods, and understanding the cutting qualities of metals. Preferred Qualifications: Machining Experience: - Over 2 years of experience with manual and CNC operations on various mills, lathes, grinders, and coordinate measuring machines. Blueprint Reading: - Ability to read and understand blueprints. Technical Skills: - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Trade school technical certificate is a plus. Machines and Equipment: CNC and Machining Centers: Haas CNC vertical machining center. Bridgeport mill. Engine lathe. Grinders: Surface grinder. Cylindrical grinder. Common bench grinders. Additional Equipment: Belt sanders. Bandsaw. Tile saw.
