The R&D Tool Shop moved from our Bridgeview Facility to its current location to Bedford Park in 2009 and was renamed the Innovation Center. The facility houses 22 CNC Machine Tools, a prototype center, and various grinding and assembly equipment. The Innovation Center has approximately 30 shop employees as well as product and tool designers, project managers and Corporate Engineering staff. The Innovation Center earned Pactiv’s annual Safety and Environmental awards for the past three years with zero incidents.

A resonable estimate of the current range is $53,000 - $88,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximim target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience and relevant education or training. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

ResponsibilitiesJob Functions:
· Interface directly with Tool Design and Set-up employees to create G Code programs for Fanuc control based CNC Mills. Single point accountability for all aspects of writing 2D and 3D programs. Safe operation is a must.
· Must possess outstanding skills in complex set-up 2D and 3D milled tooling components including cavity work. Must be able to communicate machine set up parameters, troubleshoot set-up and operational issues.
· Interact closely with R&D Shop Manager to help coordinate and manage work flow through the various milling platforms to meet overall project timelines.
· Either experience with ability to learn Mazak based controls and 4th axis set-up and programming.
QualificationsJob Qualifications:
Education:
· High School Diploma
· Prefer higher education in either machining or computer science.
Work Experience:
· Minimum 5 years CNC milling experience with 3D mold machining.
· Minimum 2 years direct experience with off-line programming using a PC based CAM package such as DelCam Power Mill, Master Cam or Surf Cam.
· Direct experience with 3D mold machining, thermoform tool experience preferred.
Skills and Training:
· Must be proficient in a PC based CAM program with complex three-dimensional work.
· Prefer proficiency in Delcam Powermill or MasterCam.
· While not a design position, prefer familiarity with common CAD programs including:
o Solid works
o Pro E
o AutoCAD
· Proficiency with MS Office software
Other Requirements:
· To be considered, candidate must possess a proven record of machining complex parts including 3D mold work.
· Strong leadership and organizational skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
