Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesRole/Purpose:The MP Machinist II is responsible for set-up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Physically and systematically receive and verify raw material receiptsAbility to safely load and unload material both manually and utilizing a forkliftCommunicate material location changes with inventory team Deburr parts and help ensure quality standards are metFollowing the work schedule as assigned and ability to layout the correct priorities for the work scheduled Ensure all parts produced is confirmed in SAP, tagged and staged in proper locationsPerform cycle counting as requiredInstall machine programs and modifications as requiredOperates any 1 CNC Mill (Haas TM, Haas VF, Doosan DNM5700) or CNC Lathe (Haas SL30, Haas ST40, Doosan Lynx 2600) or plastic routersPerforms routine preventative maintenance on machineryPerforms Quality at the Source checks on made partsAccurately records actual labor estimates on all production ordersKeeps work area(s) clean and organized to 5S standardsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and sit for long periods of timeOccasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.Adheres to all company policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned
What You Need to SucceedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to work with basic hand tools, squaring and straight edge toolsAbility to safely load and unload machines with various materialsAbility to prioritize and problem solveProficient in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawingsBasic to intermediate SAP system experienceBasic Lean Manufacturing understandingAbility to multi-taskAbility to perform duties using imperial and metric measurementsAble to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to work in high paced environmentBasic knowledge of set-up functionsAbility to be detailed orientedSafety awareness
Minimum Education / Experience Required:High School diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of experience in similar environment/position ORMeets all internal Mfg. Training/Skills Matrix qualifications for level II
