CNC Machinist / Tool & Die Maker – Delta, BC

Our client is a second generation family-run business specializing in lubrication systems for various industries internationally. They are seeking a CNC Machinist / Tool & Die Maker to join their team in Delta, BC. This is a rare opportunity for a Machinist who takes great pride in their work.

Wage: $35 – $45 hourly DOE

Shifts: 4 x 10 or 5 x 8 shift options

Skills & Qualifications:

Red Seal certification preferred but equivalent experience will be considered  Ability to machine from various materials utilizing conventional and CNC equipment  Programming and set up competency  Manual machining experience Water Jet CNC experience preferred but not required Knowledge of metal processing techniques (milling and turning). Ability to work within extremely tight tolerances Excellent organization, time-management, communication and interpersonal skills. Pride of workmanship

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain CNC machine, lathes, grinding machines, tool, and other machinery as required.  Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study samples parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations. Provide technical leadership and provide solutions and support for process concerns or improvement. Responsible for cost reduction identification and implementation.
