CNC Machinist- Weekend day shift

Role Summary:

This is a CNC machinist position. You will be responsible for operating a 5 Axis CNC Mazak Integrex: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Hours will be 12 hours shifts, 4am to 4pm Thursday thru Sunday one week, and Friday thru Sunday the next. Position is eligible for a 10% shift premium,

Responsibilities:

Manufacture parts to required specifications and standards using the Mazak Integrex machine (5 axis CNC machine).

Develop, design, and grind special tooling instruments and fixtures required for non-standard and experimental products.

Develop the machining processes to ensure the product is produced efficiently by assisting operators with deburring, gauge set up, and first article inspection.

Adhere to safe work habits, rules, and practices, including the correct use of safety devices and equipment; maintain a clean and orderly workplace, including preventative machine maintenance.

Responsible for the quality of work performed; work efficiently and to required specifications with minimal supervision.

Must have flexibility in work hours (shift).

Requirements:

5+ years of experience operating a 5 axis CNC machine, CNC mill/drill or CNC Lathe and CNC Mill

Must possess previous experience in gauge training, geometric tolerancing, and blueprint reading.

Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position. Lifting devices/aids will be provided for heavier objects.

Must be able to operate and maneuver around machinery safely to protect yourself and coworkers.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

High School Diploma or GED.

Good communication/interpersonal skills.

Strong self-motivation, willingness to learn, and work ethic.

Machine set-up experience is strongly preferred.
