**Job Title: CNC Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The CNC Maintenance Technician ensures that machinery and mechanical equipment are maintained, repaired, and functioning properly. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and troubleshooting mechanical issues, as well as performing both corrective and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency. **Responsibilities** + Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, such as conveyors, hydraulic systems, motors, and production machines. + Diagnose machine malfunctions using testing equipment, and repair or replace defective parts. + Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines to ensure operational efficiency. + Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery as required. + Identify root causes of equipment breakdowns or failures using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. + Apply technical expertise to solve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. + Assist with the installation of new machinery, including alignment, configuration, and testing. + Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve equipment performance. + Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on machines. + Prepare reports on equipment performance and suggest corrective actions. + Keep inventory of maintenance tools and parts. + Follow all safety regulations and practices, ensuring a safe working environment. + Adhere to company protocols and regulatory standards, including OSHA requirements. + Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure machines comply with safety standards. + Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and production staff to ensure smooth operations. + Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or machine operators on proper machine use and maintenance procedures. **Essential Skills** + CNC + Electrical + Mechanical + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Preventive maintenance + Blueprint reading + PLC troubleshooting + Electrical troubleshooting + Maintenance repair **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues efficiently. + Technical Knowledge: Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various types of industrial equipment. + Attention to Detail: Thorough in diagnosing and addressing machine issues. + Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report issues. + Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple repairs or maintenance activities under tight deadlines. + High school diploma or GED (required); technical certification or associate’s degree in a related field (preferred). + Proven experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting. + Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. + Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals. + Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment. + Understanding of safety protocols and ability to work in compliance with regulatory standards. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a generous 401k match of 6%, a 15% discounted quarterly stock buy-in, and comprehensive United Healthcare benefits. Work in a supportive environment that values your skills and contributions. **Work Environment** You will work in an air-conditioned, well-lit, temperature-controlled, and very clean facility with 60-70 CNC machines. The standard shift is 1st shift, 45-50 hours weekly, rotating on-call, from Monday to Friday, 5 am to 1:30 pm, with potential overtime until 2 pm-3 pm. There is also a potential for 2 Saturdays a month (5 am-7 am start time, 4 hours). **Job Type & Location** This is a permanent position based out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
