**McCrometer** is looking for a **Machinist,CNC/ Programmer III** that will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs using Mastercam software. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams and supervisors to enhance quality and process improvements and implement cost-reduction strategies in machining operations.
**_This position is part of the Production Operations team located in Hemet, CA and will be onsite._**
**The essential responsibilities of the job include:**
+ Develops and optimizes CNC programs using Mastercam software.
+ Sets up and operates computer numerical controlled lathes or mills, determines procedures for setup and operations, selects tooling and configuration of tools and inserts, does editing and operating procedures in accordance with established instructions or guidelines.
+ Creates CNC programs to produce product to meet the requirements of engineering drawings. Also works with Manager and team leader on QC
+ Collaborates with engineering teams to ensure accurate and efficient program development.
+ Analyzes machining operations and recommend cost reduction strategies.
+ Troubleshoots and resolves programming issues to ensure smooth production processes.
+ Works from drawings, blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and verbal or written instructions.
**Are you qualified?**
+ 1 + year of Programming CNC Machining Lathes or Mills.
+ High School, Vocational/Specialized training.
+ 1 year minimum of recent Mastercam experience.
+ Certification in CNC programming or related field.
+ Experience with process improvement methodologies.
+ Familiarity with cost reduction techniques in manufacturing

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $33.00 - $36.00 USD per hour.
