Job Summary: The CNC Operator at Closet Factory of Orlando will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines in our wood shop, producing high-quality custom wood products for our clients. This individual will work full-time in an hourly technician/skilled labor role in Longwood, Florida within the franchise industry. The CNC Operator will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate production of custom wood products and will report to the Wood Shop Manager. We have been in business over 40 years and are a leader in the home improvement market, providing custom home organization solutions. Our products are fully manufactured in our Longwood Florida location. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation for this position is $18 to $25 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, the individual will be eligible for benefits including paid holidays, paid vacation and a company sponsored retirement plan. Responsibilities: - Set-up, operate, and adjust CNC machines to produce custom wood products to specifications provided - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine product specifications and programming requirements - Use various measuring tools to ensure accuracy of measurements and completed products - Monitor machine operations, make adjustments as needed, and conduct periodic maintenance - Use various hand and power tools to assist in the production process - Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all safety standards and protocols are followed - Communicate with Wood Shop Manager and other team members to address any issues or concerns that may arise during production - Meet production quotas and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Operator in a wood shop environment - Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work orders - Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers - Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines - Knowledge of woodworking machinery and tools - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Basic computer skills and ability to use design software - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime as needed - Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to prioritize safety in the workplace EEOC Statement: Closet Factory of Orlando/Tampa is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
