Job Description
This position is responsible for creating models, CNC programs, and designing fixtures for parts based on customer-supplied blueprints. You will also design and maintain developed drawings, as well as create, maintain, and update detailed setup and work instructions for machine shop applications.
ResponsibilitiesFollow a job from its inception to the completion of the manufacturing process.Design fixtures for parts.Program the machine to manufacture the part.Create models and CNC programs.Design and maintain drawings.Create, maintain, and update detailed setup and work instructions for machine shop applications.Essential SkillsProficient in Mastercam and Solidworks.Experience in fixture design.Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).CNC programming experience.Lathe programming and operation experience.Associate's degree with at least 5 years of experience in Solidworks and Mastercam.7-10 years of experience with horizontal mills or lathes, with a preference for lathe experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience programming Multi-Spindle Lathe or Swiss Programming is preferred.Strong communication skills.Team mentality.Thorough knowledge of modern machine shop practices.Ability to optimize CNC programs to meet estimated times.Work Environment
This is a full-service contract manufacturer of precision metal parts used in various applications, primarily in the defense sector. The company works with renowned clients such as Boeing and Lockheed Martin. The engineering team is based in Valley Park and consists of six engineers. The typical work hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, and the dress code is business casual (button-downs, khakis, slacks, etc.). The machine shop is notably clean compared to other shops in the area.

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $45.00
