Mission Systems is engaged in long-term contracts to supply critical components for submarine weapon handling equipment, supporting both current and future fleets. This 10+ year project plays a vital role in global defence and security.
The role
As a CNC Programmer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Using your develop engineering skills, you will manufacture precision components on CNC machines, working with tight tolerances. Your work will directly support the production of vital equipment, making a real difference to global security and defence.
Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in ensuring efficient production by addressing issues, preparing for upcoming tasks, and maintaining a safe work environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll also:
Support Production: Identify and escalate manufacturing issues, ensure job readiness, and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts. Maintain Safety Standards: Follow health and safety policies, complete risk assessments, and perform start-of-shift checks to ensure a safe working environment.
This full-time role at Ashton Vale, Bristol, offers a 36-hour workweek with day, back, and night shifts (night shifts available once established).
Essential experience of the CNC Programmer:
Be a time-served CNC Programmer with 2 years’ experience, ideally in the Defence or Aerospace industry. Have experience manufacturing small and large components on CNC machines, working with precision and tight tolerances.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
