**Job Title: CNC Programmer** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our small job shop located in Milan, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining CNC Mazak Lathe machines and other lathe and milling machines. This role requires precise measurement skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure accurate production based on drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples. **Responsibilities** + Operate and maintain CNC Mazak Lathe and other lathe and milling machines. + Program, set up, and operate CNC Mazak Lathe + Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production. + Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping. + Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary. + Maintain inventory of completed products. + Check output for quality assurance and document defects. + Maintain a safe and clean work station. + Analyze specification charts, samples, and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements. + Develop a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specification. + Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. + Set up equipment to complete each step of the manufacturing plan. + Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines. **Essential Skills** + CNC programming + Programming with Mazatrol + Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) + Experience with CNC lathe machines + Strong coordination and mechanical skills + Attention to detail, accuracy, and safety + Proficient in math + Ability to lift 50 pounds **Work Environment** The work environment is a small job shop with a team of 8-10 people. The facility is climate controlled, providing a comfortable workspace. The position operates on a day shift from 7am to 3pm.
