Job Title: CNC Router Operator II
Job Description

The CNC Router Operator II position is responsible for the setup and operation of the CNC Router in compliance with inch and metric drawing specifications. The role involves working independently, under pressure, and meeting deadlines while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesSetup and operate CNC Router to machine flat and formed parts to inch and metric drawing specifications.Act as a technical resource regarding tooling and machining capabilities.Evaluate and justify new tooling and machining processes.Communicate issues relating to work orders, programming errors, material shortages, or errors.Continuously focus on the reduction of material, labor, and scrap.Perform minor maintenance activities as required by the preventive maintenance program.Engage in continued education and training including ISO 9001, safety, blueprint reading, and teamwork.Maintain cleanliness of the work area.Record labor for job tracking.Differentiate and machine various plastics including WPP, NPP, FRPP, Polycarbonate, PVC, Acrylic, UHMW, Delrin, PTFE, PFA, and PVDF.Lead large projects from start to finish.Interact with engineering on designs of parts.Provide advice on corrective actions that need to be taken.Document Red lines.Monitor Line side inventory.Other duties as requested.Essential SkillsHigh school degree or equivalent with two to three years of experience or an AA degree in Machine Technology.Good math skills, particularly in trigonometry.Ability to perform lead person responsibilities effectively and professionally.Capability to machine various plastics and materials including metals.Ability to machine to a .005 tolerance.Proficiency in using rotary table and divider head mill vise.Skill in performing tooling designs.Proficiency in using inspection tools to measure and verify dimensions.Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings in metric, decimal, and fractional inch units.Ability to read and interpret Bill of Materials.Skill in maintaining and inspecting tooling.Ability to set up manual machines using appropriate tooling and fixtures.Proficiency in operating manual mill and lathe.Strong troubleshooting skills.Ability to set up CNC machines, load programs, tools, fixtures, and set tool offsets.Proficiency in using and reading precision measuring devices in thousandths.Knowledge of various cutting tools and materials utilized.Capability to perform complex machining tasks.Cross-trained in a minimum of one other discipline.Ability to CNC Program.Ability to work in a team environment and be a contributing member.Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.Capability to carefully handle fragile products, perform repetitive tasks, and demonstrate safety awareness.Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 35 pounds.Additional Skills & QualificationsDemonstrated interest in personal learning and development.Willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.Effective two-way communication skills.Ability to balance the needs of the organization and the customer.Goal-directed thinking and action in non-routine situations.Capability to scrutinize and break down facts and thoughts into strengths and weaknesses.Interest in participating in assignments or training that address changing demands.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00
